Active Flag Committee Meeting

The Active Flag Committee met today to discuss what new equipment is needed for the school. The new equipment will be puchased with the funds raised from our very sucessful marathon relay. The children brainstormed in groups to get ideas and then we narrowed it down to each groups top 3 choices based on the what the school needs. We will be pricing the choices in the coming weeks to make the final decision on what to buy.

6th Class School Tour - Baltinglass

Donal's and Siobhan's 6th classes had their final school tour on Monday the 21st of May. It was an absolutely fantastic day that consisted of a wide range of activities at Baltinglass adventure centre. A long day was in store for the kids as they gathered in the yard at 8:15 in the morning. The bus journey took exactly one hour through the countryside of Wicklow. The children were split up into three different groups to complete the activities. Over the course of the day the children got to try out zip lining, orienteering, canoeing, archery and rock climbing all of which they thoroughly enjoyed.

Camogie Girls Semi-Final

We would like to congratulate the girls Camogie team for the tremendous effort and courage they showed on the pitch against St Dominic’s school this week. It was our most challenging match yet and we were so proud of all the girls for all their energy and dedication shown on and off the pitch. As a result of a draw we will replay St. Dominic’s semi-final match next Tuesday 29th May at 2.30pm on the Astro pitch at Lucan Sarsfields. There will be no training on Monday 28th May as most of the team will be participating in the santry races and we wish them the best of luck. See you all on Tuesday! Looking forward to it!
